Letters! We get letters! We get lots and lots of letters!

Reader beware.
Here they are, the good letters, the bad letters, the nice letters, the mean-spirited "we don't understand what you mean so you must be some hell-bound apostate drug addict follower of Madeline Murray O'Hare posing as true believers" letters...

Sorry. Got a little carried away. I'm OK.

Great site! Praise the Lord! He is Good! Keep up the good work!

Ben
Thank you for all your hard work. Very innovative web page. It really catches attention! God Bless you,

German and Michelle
I am a little shocked to see you have removed all my perfectly reasonable messages from the forums. This strange censorship seems to go against the open-minded and "humorous" tags you like to give yourselves so much. How long before this harmless message is removed too?

Tom

[Tom was removed from the forums because, after being warned several times about his misuse of our forum as a place to launch naughty, personal attacks on others, he persisted. (See earlier example of a Tomism below.) Bye-bye, Tom!]

Your guy's site rocks, I've been using it to study up for the Theory of Knowledge class I'm taking next year; FAQ is proving especially useful. I like your edge! Keep it up! In His Grace,

Liz
cool place. glad to know i'm not alone in being a christian and having a sense of humor. well i do know a few. i know jesus had to have had a few chotles.

debbie

[what's a chotle? remember, we're american]
Good, thought provoking stuff. Didn't always make me nod in agreement, but usually made be think. Keep runnin' that race, brothers. God bless your efforts and lives!

J

[the sooner you see the truth, the sooner you will nod. ;) ]
I love your site, it gave me a lot of info. and kept me in check for some old stuff. In the future, I will have my webmaster (Jere, my husband) add one of your banners to our sites, soon to be Links page. I will be back soon,

Heather

[Jesus said He would be back soon, too.]
Wow, are you guys going to be surprised when we get to Heaven. :-)

Anon

[as in: we'll be surprised if we see you there. JUST KIDDING!]
My name is Joshua Stevens and I am 7 yrs. old. I was at Calvary Chapel Sunday morning and heard about the talk on Science and the Bible. I asked Dad and Mom if we could come see it. So we did. I really liked it. I especially liked how you used the alien guys (bob and eddie) to show that even though scientists agreed on the facts they had different interpretations. I got it, totally. It's like some people say that evolution is true and some people say God created it. I believe God created the world. I really like science. I think the most amazing thing is how He made the human body work. How it all works. Like our digestive system and stuff. I am also very interested in birds. Thank you for doing the Science and the Bible thing. I got a lot of it and though some people might think I wouldn't understand it, I did. Anyway, I just wanted to write you and let you know and say thanks.
your friend,

Joshua

[out of the mouths of babes]
I personally beleive God created the world in six literal days etc.
And actually, I don't see why it should be that big of a deal. After all, I see nowhere in the Bible were salvation is dependant on following one side of the youg earth/old earth debate (or for that matter Calvanism Vs Arminianism, which I have heard a LOT.)
Anywho, overall it's a great site. Keep up the good work.

Evan
Hi guys,
Hang in there. I appreciate your effort.
Don't stop what you are doing. And I suggest that you read the prayer of Jaebaz. Pardon the spelling. It will give you encouragement.
Your friend and admirer,

Susan
Great site! Thanks for making apologetics fun and exciting! Someday I hope to have a site like this...

Chris
Mark, How refreshing it was to hear your talk on creation at CC Murrieta last month. As a physicist myself, I often get put off by other speakers who attack science and scientists, drag up tired old saws about zoos and goos, or pose unrealistic Earth models that are supported only in their imaginations. I appreciated your fresh, yet candid and factual treatment.

Don
This site is great! I stumbled upon it through your Spirit West Coast page. You are blessed with a great sense of humor, "dudes." I will be exploring this site myself and will tell others about it.

Natalia
Hey love your site, my side hurts from laughing (despite your rabid Hughrossim).
But the reason Im writing is about that Ritter guys rather pointless "article" on whether children can go to hell... and I'm still waiting for the point. Anyway, ending the article as he did with "We'd love to believe that all children, born and unborn go to be with the Lord, but we see no evidence that they do", I can only respond, and we don't see any evidence that they don't! OK! Now we are even again...care for another round/ What I'm saying, I guess, is I'm sure as HELL glad Ritter is NOT God...the one I know has mercy that endures forever and judges with all righteousness and equity... "Shall not the Lord of the earth deal Righteously??" And I also hope that no grieving parent who just lost their 3 year old to a pool drowning or car accident stumbles across that article. Keep up the good work and keep the yucks coming, but be careful when you get near the deep end, and always wear your water wings.

I came upon your website while searching for other Christian satirical sites. It's nice to know that there are other thinking Christians out there with a sense of humor. Your site ranks right up there with Ship of Fools and the Virtual Church of the Blind Chihuahua. Although, I disagree with you on a few issues and controversies, I must say that I appreciate your tact and approach. Keep up the great work! May God bless you.

Jim
Be very careful - If I ever meet you guys I'll be tempted to give you a kiss right on the face!!! What a terrific site. What an encouragement - warriors for the word with a sense of humor - I love it! thanks gents. May the Lord bless you.

Jim (www.monmouthchurch.org)

[ahem... We'll keep an eye open for you.]

Just about typical for this religion that the more intelligent Christians feel the need to make a satire about the less intelligent Christians. That is evidence that they themselves are aware of the inherent evil of this religion which is a breeding ground for intolerant fanatics.

As for the pro-life page. Personally i have no opinion on the issue, but i just fail to realize why Christians have to continue making a mockery out of their own Bible and their God by combining a pro-life attitude with their religion. Ex21:22-23 is clear evidence that the Jewish god does not consider an unborn to have a soul, i.e. to be a human being.

And if you Christians are so concerned about dying children, why don't you put a link to the www.hungersite.com instead of those pro-life pages? Could it be because the appr. 10 infants who have died from hunger just during the time it took you to read this entry so far had no choice about anything at all and that their existence and fate contradicts a benevolent and omniscient and omnipotent god?

Could it because you just enjoy telling other people that their views and actions are evil and wrong while yours are holy and pure? Well, whatever makes you happy.

Gabriel

Hi Folks,
Couldn't help but notice that you included my Benny Hinn Top Ten list on your web site. Although I'm an open-minded young lady, I would like to point out that 1) you did not ask my permission to reprint this piece; 2) you did not give the Door credit for having previously published it; and 3) you did not pay me for publishing it. Although I, too, am a Christian, I write for a living and do expect to get paid for what I write. At the very least, I expect to be asked before someone publishes it! Had you gotten permission from the Door? If so, you should be aware that they do not own the piece; I do.

Frankly, I don't mind that you put it on your site. But I do now expect some kind of token remuneration for your publication of it. $25 would do fine. Thanks.

GB

[she got her money, which cleaned us out for the month. thanks, GB! arrrrgh]
Hello, one and all. I have recently come across your website, and have found it full of many useful articles. There is one, however, that seems it could use some slight improvement. That is the article on John 1:1. While your arguments are logical, the JW response I was given to the argument (from another source) was that "theos/theou" etc. can refer to angels and other, similar divine beings. (Hence all that nonsense about Michael.) Unfortunately, the JW refused to keep discussing faith with me, since she said she would never change her mind and it was obvious I'd never change mine.

In any case, it seems to me that your article would do best supplemented by an actual grammar-based attack on the translation of "kai theos en ho logos" as, "and a god was the Word". Therefore, I have taken the liberty to include a link to James White's article on the subject: http://www.aomin.org/GERM_JWS.html. (Text file: http://www.iclnet.org/pub/resources/text/apl/jw/jw-011b.txt)

That's about it -- keep up the good work!

Rick

Sword -&- Spirit is a definite "must see"! So, we plan to link it to our homepage. The slide presentations are my favorite feature. Please visit us to suggest any other cool links you'd like us to post. God bless!

...Second, and more important, I wanted to thank you for this site. It looks really good. I just found out about it today when I was listening to the archive of the 9/16/00 RTB Apologist Roundtable and heard you discussing it. I plan on adding it to my list of frequently visited webpages.

Thanks,
Kyle W
Please help me to understand your viewpoint on God inflicting us with disease? Are you saying he just rolls the wheel of torture, and chooses a lucky contestant. Or that physical conditions can be a result of various factors such as: unforgiveness, or other sin, perhaps there is a luke warmness to a persons faith. Does he want us to suffer when Jesus already has? What is the point of healing, if God is the administrator of both, healings and killings? You puzzle me? Please let me know how you come to this?

I am sorry, but before I can ever atttempt to understand your slant, I will need to know which well you draw from spiritually...

Love & wishing you a Merry Christmas,

Your brother in Christ

Mike
You have missed the point with your KJV criticism. Nobody uses it because it is written in Old English! It is because it is based on the Textus Receptus traditional Greek manuscripts, which make up 95% of the total, not the deliberately corrupt 5% your modern ones lean on, which include the desperately bad Codex Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. Are you that ignorant? Comparing KJV or NKJV with the modern perversions shows anti-Christian changes in the modern time and time again. You deal with the young Earth debate much too superficially, it is a shame you side with the atheists and feel the need to sneer at those of us who believe in six literal days of Creation. All your ideas seem to come solely from Hugh Ross anyway. Finally, humour is good, but you aren't really that funny, and there is no excuse for the times you show disrespect to God and other Christians.

Tom

[Thanks for your Jesus with the Woman at the Well approach!]
Good site. God site. The world cannot have too much of that.

Christine B
I appreciate your site. I publish a Christian newsletter the by-line of which is "Christianity Not Churchianity." I was refreshed by your un-stuffyness. Keep it up!

Susi R-T
What a great site! I just stumbled across it today from another site's 'links' page. I'll definitely be back.

Barry W
Tremendous website! Very professional and inviting! Congratulations, I really enjoy it.

Jeff
I love your site. Christians with a sense of humor, Thank Goodness.

Debra S
I would just like to say that this is an awesome apologetics page. I'm still in high school so its kinda looks like christian apologetics in high school form (not an insult). very cool webpage. would love to help out in the future when i head to Murrieta for Calvary Chapel Bible College.

Jimmy T

[I think we are on CCBC's Chuck Says No to These Guys List.]
Hi Mark and Dan,
Thanks for your newsletter...you guys are hilarious!!!! How ya doing??? Keep up the good stuff in 2001. See ya at Spirit West Coast this summer....no??? Glad Tidings and Good cheer (sounds like laundry soap to me!)

Ann L
Hi, I just perused your site and saw references to apologetics addressing Mormonism and other false religions. How does this ministry feel about Catholicism? Your philosophical statements regarding the 'old' earth and the King James Bible were also noteworthy. In being familiar with your ministry from Spirit West Coast, I was just interested in seeing how you arrived at some of your conclusions. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ direct both of our steps and work His will mightily in all true believers. Thanks,

Henry
I was recenty recommended to your site just to see some of my questions and to learn some more about religion. I have always loved how and why science and religion are related. I find it real interesting to read aobut things like evolution, big bang theory, th creation story and how it reates to the begining, etc.

I just wanted to say that God really blesses this ministry and I really am glad to see something like this on the net. I am really glad that this site was introducted to me and I will pray for you and your ministry. Thank you for all that you have done, I know many people that could use this kind of info. Thanks.

Will S

Hi guys! You are all doing an incredible job with your website!! I really appreciate all of the tracts that you've provided on prolife issues. I just returned from the BC youth prolife conference in Surrey, British Columbia [uh, that's in Canada. . . I heard you south-of-the-border guys aren't too good with Canadian geography :) ]. We brought a bunch of kids from our youth group and they came away from the weekend absolutely stunned and convicted, especially after watching the video "The Harder Truth". In doing some follow-up research I came across your web page. It's very well done! Thanks for doing such a great job.

L. Cheris McL
I first heard about you guys at Spirit West Coast 2000, when I visited your booth. I think you guys have an awesome ministry. I think it's great how you give not to receive but just for the joy and blessing of doing it. At Spirit West Coast a friend of mine got a sweatshirt from you guys. That was very cool. I personally felt kinda weird just taking something for nothing. I couldn't do it, but I think it's great for those who are willing to use it and need it. I would totally buy one of you shirts if you were to decide to make them. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I enjoy your site and your emails and that God has blessed me through you as well as many others I'm sure. Thanks so much and God bless.

Amber (20)
Thanks you so much for taking the time to participate with us in our weekend in the mountains! Your presentation was outstanding, and I know I speak for dozens of men there who were walking around, recapping some of the fascinating parallels between Genesis and scientific knowledge, and smiling at each other as they said, "hmmmmmm!"

May God bless you and your ministry, and I am downloading your presentation to share with my wife, sons, and others who will benefit from this knowledge. Thanks again.

Yours in the Savior,

Tom H
First, I would like to say that I had the blessing of stumbling upon your website, a very encouraging find. I love to see Christians being encouraged to use the great minds God gave us. I look forward to exploring it in more depth.

Sincerely,

Katrina D
Hi there!!

I enjoy your website but one little thing bothers me. Nothing too major but..

It's PARAPHERNALIA,
not PARAPHENALIA.

Thank you for allowing me to voice this correction.

Jason S

[Yor welcom!]

Please do not send me this kind of nonsense [our newletter]! to learn about the Lord you simply go to the "BIBLE" THIS IS THE ONLY SOURCE WHICH CAN TEACH US LOGICALLY ABOUT OUR GREAT ALMIGHTY, GREAT FATHER IN HEAVEN. Other sources are not of truth prophesy, but occult of testimony from false human mind thinker. Only God can give us our knowledge, our wisdom is what we learn from within, and that within comes from God!

You had a booth at "Superfest" in Running Springs, CA around 1992. I've shared The Clearing with a lot of people. I think it's a great tool. By the way, nice web site. Lots or resources.
