The average speed limit through Oregon. You could live to a ripe old age before you get through the state. Of course, in Oregon that ain't a safe idea.

We saw a theatre in Oregon -
a theatre.

Being from California we're used to car lots. In Oregon and Washington they have house lots, instead, and lots of them - with actual SALE signs and markdowns and what not.
We asked if we could take one for a test drive. They saw our California plates and went and got the gun. We raced away as they chased us in a sporty 4-bedroom.

Of course the whole landscape through Oregon is littered with these tree things, and those paths of water things. And the sky thing above was... clear!

This is a God-forsaken place if ever there was one. Just look at it! No malls or freeways or auto malls or shootings. How can one live in a place like this? We got the heebie-jeebies and sped down to California pronto, hauling butt at an illegal 40 mph.

How bored were we?

Southern Oregon. The fires provided one pretty sunset.

This picture of CHP officer Daniel Todd finishes our photo album. Coincidentally, he is a Christian (note the wwjd bracelet near his big giant gun) and had just gotten back from Spirit West Coast the day before. What are the odds!
